The agreement between the City of Pueblo and Mentor Engineering, an Alberta Corporation, for the purchase of a Global Positioning System for Wastewater Administration’s vehicle fleet in the amount of $40,710, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, having been approved as to form by the City Attorney, is hereby approved. SECTION 2. The Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized and directed to execute the Agreement in the name and on behalf of the City of Pueblo, a Municipal Corporation, and the City Clerk shall affix the seal of the City thereto and attest same. RECOMMENDATION Approval of the Resolution. BACKGROUND This Resolution would approve the contract to purchase a turn-key Global Positioning System (GPS) for Wastewater’s fleet vehicles. This system includes all hardware, software, installation, testing, training, evaluation, repair, and commissioning services in accordance with Mentor’s Proposal submitted in response to the City’s Request for Proposals No. 11-085. The system includes Mentor BBX modems and Mentor Fleet™ Software and ongoing fleet support services. The GPS system will provide real-time City vehicle locations as well as providing definable event monitoring and vehicle maintenance and diagnostics. FINANCIALIMPACT Funding for this project is from previously appropriated funds in the Wastewater Enterprise Fund.
