HomeMy WebLinkAbout08482ORDINANCE NO. 8482 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 6-5-16 OF CHAPTER 5, OF TITLE VI OF THE PUEBLO MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO THE CLASSIFICATION AND PAY PLAN (2012) REGARDING THE POSITION OF WW ELECTRICAL SPECIALIST BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: (brackets indicate matter being deleted, underscore indicates matter being added) SECTION 1. The following line items within Section 6-5-16 of Chapter 5, of Title VI of the Pueblo Municipal Code as amended, being the Classification and Pay Plan (2012), are amended to read as follows: 6-5-16. Schedule, classification, work week and monthly salary. The following shall constitute: A. The classification and pay range for all bargaining unit employees of the City effective January 1, 2012; B. The classification and pay range for all non-bargaining unit employees of the City January 1, 2012; C. The pay range for all unclassified employees of the City effective January 1, 2012. RECOMMENDATION Approval of this Ordinance. BACKGROUND Per the Memorandum of Agreement with the PAGE Union dated March 15, 2012, the WW Electrical Specialist shall be classified as a bargaining-unit position and listed in Appendix B (closed classes) of the union contract. This Ordinance will amend Ordinance No. 8463, passed on April 9, 2012, by moving the WW Electrical Specialist position from the FLSA-exempt (Class B) classification to the General Service (Class A) classification and will amend the step table from seven (7) pay steps to ten (10) pay steps. FINANCIAL IMPACT None.
