INSTEAD OF VEHICLES AND EQUIPMENT

and Data Services instead of Vehicles and Equipment?
RECOMMENDATION
Approval of this Resolution
BACKGROUND
In February 2011, City Council approved an Ordinance budgeting and appropriating
funds for equipment and computer upgrades for the Public Works Department. The
Ordinance transferred funds in the amount of $265,000 from the Highway User Trust
Fund (HUTF) to CPAN16 for Vehicles and Equipment for $250,000 and for Computer
Equipment for $15,000. Due to the cost of the vehicles and equipment the Public
Works Department was authorized to purchase, they were only able to purchase a
Road Grader, two Utility Trucks, a Pavement Patcher, and Computer and Software
Upgrades. There is currently $43,606 remaining in Project No. HUAN04 – Public Works
Vehicles and Equipment account. Public Works would like to purchase software and
the data implementation of the Pavement Management System.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funds for said project will come from Project No. HUAN04 – Public Works Vehicles and
Equipment.
