TITLE
A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF PUEBLO,
A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, AND CGRS, INC. FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
IN THE AMOUNT OF $42,110 RELATED TO DESIGN SERVICES FOR THE FUEL
FARM CONTAINMENT PROJECT AT PUEBLO MEMORIAL AIRPORT AND
AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF THE CITY COUNCIL TO EXECUTE SAME
ISSUE
Should City Council approve an agreement with CGRS, Inc. for design services relating
to the fuel farm containment project at the airport?
RECOMMENDATION
Approval of this Resolution.
BACKGROUND
The Environmental Protection Agency requires all fuel farm owners to install a concrete
secondary containment facility. Bids were requested with CGRS, Inc. being the only
bidder. The State issued a grant to the City for this project but the bid came in higher
than expected and there are not enough funds to complete the project. Therefore, only
the design portion of the project will be completed at this time.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funds in the amount of $42,110 shall be expended from Project AP0902, Fuel Farm
Containment. The State grant will pay for 80% of the project and the City’s match will
be $8,422.
