A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION
CONTRACT IN THE AMOUNT OF $156,947 AND SETTING
FORTH $15,695 FOR CONTINGENCIES TO WATERFORD
CORPORATION FOR THE FENCING PROJECT (CITY
PROJECT NO. 12-007) AT THE PUEBLO MEMORIAL
AIRPORT AND AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING AGENT
TO EXECUTE SAME
WHEREAS, proposals for the Fencing Project (City Project No. 12-007) at the
Pueblo Memorial Airport have been received and examined; and
WHEREAS, the proposal of Waterford Corporation was the lowest and best of
those bids determined to be responsible; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1.
A contract for the Fencing Project (City Project No. 12-007) is hereby awarded to
said bidder in the amount of $156,947.
SECTION 2.
In addition to the amount of the bid, an additional amount as stipulated in this
section is hereby established for contingencies and additional work.
Contingencies and Additional Work: $15,695
SECTION 3.
Funds for the Fencing Project in the amount of $156,947 plus $15,695 in
contingencies shall be expended from Capital Project No. AP1102, Security Fence.
SECTION 4.
The Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized to execute said contract on behalf of
the City of Pueblo, a Municipal Corporation.

ISSUE
Should City Council approve an award of a construction contract for the Fencing Project
(City Project No. 12-007) at Pueblo Memorial Airport to Waterford Corporation?
RECOMMENDATION
Approval of this Resolution.
BACKGROUND
The work to be performed under this contract consists of the removal of barbed wire
fencing and installation of 6’ chain link fencing around the perimeter of the airport.
Waterford Corporation was determined to have submitted the lowest and best
responsive bid.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funds for the project in the amount of $156,947 plus $15,695 in contingencies shall be
expended from Capital Project No. AP1102, Security Fence. A CDOT-Div. of
Aeronautics grant will pay for 90% of the project. The City’s 10% match will be $17,264.
