HomeMy WebLinkAbout08463 ORDINANCE NO. 8463 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 6-5-16 OF CHAPTER 5, OF TITLE VI OF THE PUEBLO MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO THE CLASSIFICATION AND PAY PLAN (2012) TO INCLUDE A NEW POSITION OF WW ELECTRICAL SPECIALIST AND RECLASSIFYING THE POSITION OF GRANT REPORT/PROPERTY SPECIALIST TO AVIATION OPERATIONS TECHNICIAN BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: (brackets indicate matter being deleted, underscore indicates matter being added) SECTION 1. The following line items within Section 6-5-16 of Chapter 5, of Title VI of the Pueblo Municipal Code as amended, being the Classification and Pay Plan (2012), are amended to read as follows: 6-5-16. Schedule, classification, work week and monthly salary. The following shall constitute: A. The classification and pay range for all bargaining unit employees of the City effective January 1, 2012; B. The classification and pay range for all non-bargaining unit employees of the City January 1, 2012; C. The pay range for all unclassified employees of the City effective January 1, 2012. RECOMMENDATION Approval of this Ordinance. BACKGROUND Due to the operational needs of the Wastewater Department, a new position titled WW Electrical Specialist is being established. Due to a significant change in duties, the classification of Grant Report/Property Specialist is being reclassified to the title of Aviation Operations Technician. FINANCIAL IMPACT Funding for the new WW Electrical Specialist shall be from the Sewer User Fund. There is no financial impact for the reclassification of Grant Report/Property Specialist to Aviation Operations Technician as the pay scale will remain the same.
