BACKGROUND
An asbestos study and project design has been completed by Occupational Health

locations of seven items and areas of asbestos containing materials (ACM). The ACMs
are generally glue used under flooring, insulation wrap on the old hot water pipes to
radiators, and a final coating on plaster used as fire proofing. The project Scope of
Work is to safely remove ACMs in the building that interfere with the renovation of the
interior improvements.
Colorado Hazard Control, LLC of Pueblo was the lowest and most responsive bidder
(See Bid Summary). This contractor has previously completed the emergency spill and
clean up in the basement.

with the Pueblo Urban Renewal Authority. A contingency of $8,000 will be set up as a
precaution for unforeseen abatement work that may be required.
