HomeMy WebLinkAbout12336 RESOLUTION NO. 12336 A RESOLUTION RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 12333 AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF $50,000 FROM THE COUNCIL CONTINGENCIES ACCOUNT IN THE 2012 GENERAL FUND BUDGET TO THE STATE OF COLORADO FOR THE ABATEMENT AND DEMOLITION OF THE FORMER NAVAL RESERVE FACILITY LOCATED AT NORTHERN AVENUE AND ACERO STREET IN PUEBLO, COLORADO WHEREAS, Resolution No. 12333 authorized the transfer of $50,000 from the 2012 Council Contingencies as a local contribution for the abatement and demolition of the former Naval Reserve Building located at Northern Avenue and Acero Street; WHEREAS, on March 7, 2012, the Capital Development Committee of the General Assembly chose not to include this project within the funded portion of the projects list that will receive funding for the fiscal year 2012-2013; now, therefore; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: SECTION 1. Resolution 12333, providing for payment of any local share of the cost of abatement and demolition of the former Naval Reserve Facility located at Northern Avenue and Acero Street, Pueblo, Colorado, is hereby repealed and rescinded. Pacheco, City Manager TITLE A RESOLUTION RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 12333 AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF $50,000 FROM THE COUNCIL CONTINGENCIES ACCOUNT IN THE 2012 GENERAL FUND BUDGET TO THE STATE OF COLORADO FOR THE ABATEMENT AND DEMOLITION OF THE FORMER NAVAL RESERVE FACILITY LOCATED AT NORTHERN AVENUE AND ACERO STREET IN PUEBLO, COLORADO ISSUE Should the City Council rescind Resolution No. 12333, which authorized the transfer of $50,000 from the Council Contingencies Account in the 2012 General Fund Budget to the State of Colorado for payment of any local share of the cost of abatement and demolition of the former Naval Reserve Facility located at Northern Avenue and Acero Street? RECOMMENDATION Approval of Resolution. BACKGROUND On March 7, 2012, the Capital Development Committee of the General Assembly chose not to include this abatement project within the funded portion of the projects list that will receive funding for the fiscal year 2012-2013; therefore, the authorization to transfer funds is no longer necessary and the funds may be allocated elsewhere. FINANCIAL IMPACT $50,000 will remain in the Council contingencies account.
