RECOMMENDATION
Approval of this Resolution.
BACKGROUND
The structures located on the property at 807 East 7th Street have been determined by
the Building Official to be dangerous buildings under the provisions of Chapter 13 of
Title 4 of the Municipal Code. The Building Official has served the required Notice and
Order to repair the structures to the owner of the property, and the property owner has
failed to comply within the required time periods. Subsequently, the Building Official
has issued a request for the Director of Public Works to demolish the structures. These
structures have been approved for demolition by the City’s Housing and Citizen
Services Department after review of historic preservation concerns. An asbestos
inspection of the structures has also been conducted, and no asbestos containing
materials were found at this location.
The work was competitively bid through the City’s Purchasing Department, and a copy
of the bid summary is attached.
