HomeMy WebLinkAbout08446ORDINANCE NO. 8446 AN ORDINANCE BUDGETING AND APPROPRIATING $503,051 FOR TRANSPORTATION AND TRANSIT PLANNING SERVICES RELATED TO THE 2012 DELEGATION AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF PUEBLO, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, AND THE PUEBLO AREA COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: SECTION 1. The amount of $495,651 is hereby budgeted and appropriated from Pueblo Area Council of Governments (“PACOG”) funds reimbursed to the City for transportation and transit planning services in accordance with the 2012 Delegation Agreement between the City of Pueblo, a Municipal Corporation, and PACOG approved on October 24, 2011. SECTION 2. The amount of $7,400 is hereby budgeted and appropriated from Pueblo Area Council of Governments (“PACOG”) funds reimbursed to the City for rural transportation planning services in accordance with the 2012 Delegation Agreement between the City of Pueblo, a Municipal Corporation, and PACOG approved on October 24, 2011. SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall become effective upon final passage and approval. RECOMMENDATION Approval of Ordinance. BACKGROUND This Ordinance budgets and appropriates the 2012 funds for the Metropolitan Planning Organization and Transportation Planning Region transportation and transit planning services. Funds are provided through the Federal Highway Administration (“FHWA”) Consolidated Planning Grant and the Colorado Department of Transportation (“CDOT”) Rural Planning Grant, which are both administered by CDOT. These grant funds are received by the Pueblo Area Council of Governments (“PACOG”) and reimbursed to the City of Pueblo in accordance with the 2012 Delegation Agreement between the City of Pueblo and PACOG approved by City Council on October 24, 2011. The funds will be used to complete the tasks in the FY2012-2013 Unified Planning Work Program (“UPWP”), adopted by PACOG on September 2011. The expenditures are required to be spent in accordance with the FHWA and CDOT grant provisions. FINANCIAL IMPACT PACOG will reimburse the City up to $495,651 for 2012 UPWP services, and $7,400 for Rural Transportation Planning services stipulated in the Delegation Agreement between the City and PACOG approved on October 24, 2011 by City Council Ordinance No. 8398.
