A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING COLORADO DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORTATION FUNDING FOR THE 2012 DUI
ENFORCEMENT, JANUARY – JUNE 2012 PROJECT,
ESTABLISHING PROJECT NUMBER PD1201 AND
AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF FUNDS THEREFOR
WHEREAS, the City Council of Pueblo has the authority on behalf of the City of Pueblo,
including its Police Department, to accept funding from the State of Colorado for public and
municipal purposes, and
WHEREAS, the Colorado Department of Transportation has tendered 2012 DUI
Enforcement, January – June 2012 Project funding that will not exceed the amount of $12,000,
and
WHEREAS, acceptance of the funding for the purposes for which it has been made is in
the best interest of the City and will benefit the health, welfare and safety of the citizens of the
City; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1.
The Award of the 2012 DUI Enforcement, January – June 2012 Project funding to the
City of Pueblo is hereby accepted and is approved effective as of January 1, 2012.
SECTION 2.
Project Number PD1201, DUI Enforcement, January – June 2012, is hereby established
in the Police Grants Fund.
SECTION 3.
The amount of $12,000 is hereby authorized for transfer from the Projects to be
Determined Account in the Police Grants Fund to Project Number PD1201. Said funds shall
only be expended and used for this Project.

Should the City of Pueblo accept 2012 Colorado Department of Transportation DUI
Enforcement, January - June 2012 Project funding on behalf of the Police Department
not to exceed the amount of $12,000?
RECOMMENDATION
The Department recommends approval of the Resolution.
BACKGROUND
This funding will allow the Police Department to conduct DUI/Impaired Driving
stth
Enforcement during the January 1 through June 30, 2012 holiday periods.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
There is no financial impact on the City as no match is required for this grant.
