ORDINANCE NO. 8431
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING CAPITAL PROJECT NO.
TC1102, CRYWOLF FALSE ALARM REDUCTION SOFTWARE
UPGRADE, AND BUDGETING AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS
IN THE AMOUNT OF $18,706 THEREFOR
WHEREAS, the Pueblo Police Communications Center is in serious need of software
upgrades to the CryWolf False Alarm Reduction Software and;
WHEREAS, there are currently funds available for this purpose;
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1.
Capital Project Number TC1102, CryWolf False Alarm Reduction Software Upgrade, is
hereby established, and the amount $18,706 is hereby budgeted and appropriated for
expenditures related therefore.
SECTION 2.
The amount of $18,706 shall be budgeted and appropriated to Project No: TC1102 from
the E-911 Telephone Charge Fund reserves for said project.
SECTION 3.
This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon passage.

ISSUE
Should City Council establish Capital Project No.TC1102, CryWolf False Alarm Reduction
Software Upgrade, and budget and appropriate funds in the amount of $18,706 for said project?
RECOMMENDATION
Approval of this Ordinance.
BACKGROUND
The Pueblo Police Department is in serious need of a software and maintenance upgrade to the
CryWolf software currently used for the recording, tracking, and billing of false alarms within the
City of Pueblo for the following reasons:
The .NET version software upgrade supports Windows 7 Operating System and CryWolf
ASPX Web access module
Upgrade will allow for efficient tracking and enforcement of recently adopted False Alarm
Ordinance
Upgrade will allow alarm users to register their alarm online
Upgrade will provide access to online training for alarm users
Upgrade will allow alarm users to submit civil penalties online
Enhanced correspondence capabilities
Expanded reporting and search capabilities
Enhanced system operating efficiencies
This Ordinance will authorize upgrades to the false alarm reduction software currently being
used by both the Pueblo Police Department and the City of Pueblo Finance Department.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
The amount of $18,706 shall be budgeted and appropriated to Project No. TC1102from the E-
911 Telephone Charge Fund reserves for said project.
