ORDINANCE NO 1842
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE XVIF,
CHAPTERS 2 AND 4, 1971 CODE OF
;ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PUEBLO ",
TO ESTABLISH A HIGHWAY AND ARTER-
IAL.BUSINESS ZONE DISTRICT, B -3
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, COLORADO,, that

SECTION
Section I Of'Chapter 2 of Title XVII of the 1971. Code of Ordinances
be amended by adding a new subsection (16 1) as - follows
(1-6 1) Expressway - The term "expressway" as found in the .B -3 Zone
District means those streets desigha.ted as "expressway" on
the .adopted Thoroughfare Plan -of the :Pueblo Area Transpor-
tation, Study

The title of subsection (a) of Section 5 of 'Chapter 4 of Title.XVI.I
of the 1971 Code -of Ordinances be amended to read as follows
(a) B- 1,.3-2, B -3 and B -4 Districts - Performance standards

Subsection. (b) of Section 43 of Chapter 4 of Title X V I I of the 197.1
Code of Ordinances be amended by adding the following
(b) Requi red number of spaces at least one off- street
parking . space for each six seats In,a B -3 zone district office
use .shall be ;provided with at least five spaces, plus one addi-
tional space for each 400 square feet of net floor area in ex-
cess of 2,000 square feet Retail use in a B -3 zone district
shall be provided with at least ten spaces, plus one additional:
space for each 250 square feet of net floor area in excess of
2,500 square feet Except in a B -3 . zone d i s t r i c t , '[Office]
office use 'shall be provided with at least one space for every
500 square feet of net floor area
SECTION 6
Section 51 of Chapter 4 of Title XVII of the .1971 Code of Ordinances
be amended by adding a. new subsection (11 1) as follows
(11 .,_)) Highway and Arterial Business District (B -3)
(a) Purpose The standards of this _ d_i - strict are intended to
provide areas along highways . and arterial streets for the
location of business and services
(b) Uses by right A use by right is any use which-is primar-
ily ; retail, office, commercial, finance, transient resi-
dence, government, service, social or cultural in nature
(including parking lot and parking structure), -which
serves. the public good and which does not involve perm-
anent residence of the - manufacture, production, .fabrica=
lion or rebuilding or the bulk storage, warehousing or
wholesaling of merchandise, or mobile home sales (Util
i t i:es 'as outlined in section 17 -4 -30 ) : -
(c) Uses by review, A use by review is any of the following
uses which are permitted only upon_ issuance of a special
use permit
1) Bulk storage, warehousing or wholesaling
2) Private recreation and amusement facilities
3) Mobile home sales
