A RESOLUTION APPOINTING A MEMBER TO THE PUEBLO
HUMAN RELATIONS COMMISSION—JOINT CITY-COUNTY
APPOINTMENT
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, COLORADO, that:
Troy Ard is hereby appointed to the Pueblo Human Relations Commission—Joint City-
County Appointment to complete the three-term expiring December 31, 2011, vacated due to
the resignation of Manuel Gonzales, and for a three-year term expiring December 31, 2014.

ISSUE
Should City Council ratify the joint City-County appointment of Troy Ard to the Pueblo Human
Relations Commission to complete the three-year term expiring December 31, 2011, vacated
due to the resignation of Commissioner Manuel Gonzales, and for a three-year term expiring
December 31, 2014?
RECOMMENDATION
Approval of the Resolution.
BACKGROUND
Due to the resignation of Commission Member Manuel Gonzales, there now exists one vacancy
on the Pueblo Human Relations Commission—Joint City-County Appointment, for the three-year
term expiring December 31, 2011.
A Public Notice was published in The Pueblo Chieftain on March 13, 2011 and announcements
were posted on the Government Channel and on the Pueblo County website seeking volunteers
to serve on this committee. In response to these notices, an application was received from Troy
Ard. No other applications were received.
Members of the Pueblo City Council and Board of County Commissioners who were present
following the PACOG meeting on September 22, 2011 selected Troy Ard to complete the three-
year term expiring December 31, 2011 and for a three-year term expiring December 31, 2014.
