HomeMy WebLinkAbout12245RESOLUTION NO. 12245 A RESOLUTION REMOVING A MEMBER FROM THE PUEBLO REGIONAL BUILDING COMMISSION, DECLARING A VACANCY AND APPOINTING A NEW MEMBER THERETO – JOINT CITY-COUNTY APPOINTMENT WHEREAS, Resolution Number 12234 dated September 12, 2011, ratified the joint City-County appointment of Raquel Aguilera to the Pueblo Regional Building Commission for a three-year term expiring on October 1, 2014; and WHEREAS, following her appointment, Raquel Aguilera indicated that she believed she was applying for a paid position with the Pueblo Regional Building Department and wish to serve as a volunteer on the Pueblo Regional Building Commission; and does not WHEREAS, Incumbent Board Member Mark Kleven does wish to be considered for reappointment; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, COLORADO, that: SECTION 1. Raquel Aguilera is hereby removed as a member of the Pueblo Regional Building Commission, and said Commission seat is declared vacant. SECTION 2. Incumbent Board Member Mark Kleven is hereby reappointed to the Pueblo Regional Building Commission for a three-year term expiring October 1, 2014. SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon adoption. RECOMMENDATION Approval of the Resolution. BACKGROUND Resolution Number 12234 dated September 12, 2011, ratified the joint City-County appointment of Raquel Aguilera to the Pueblo Regional Building Commission for a three- year term expiring on October 1, 2014. Following her appointment, Raquel Aguilera indicated that she believed she was applying for a paid position with the Pueblo Regional Building Department and wish to does not serve as a volunteer on the Pueblo Regional Building Commission. Incumbent Board Member Mark Kleven was the only other applicant for this appointment and does wish to be considered for reappointment. FINANCIAL IMPACT This is a volunteer committee, and members serve without compensation.
