A RESOLUTION APPOINTING A MEMBER TO THE
PUEBLO REGIONAL BUILDING COMMISSION AND
MEMBERS TO THE PUEBLO REGIONAL BUILDING
DEPARTMENT’S BUILDING, ELECTRICAL, MECHANICAL,
PLUMBING AND SIGN BOARDS OF APPEALS – JOINT
CITY/COUNTY APPOINTMENTS
WHEREAS, due to term expirations, there are appointments to be filled on the
Pueblo Regional Building Commission and the Building, Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing
and Sign Boards of Appeals; and
WHEREAS, each of the appointments required to fill the expired terms requires
agreed-upon appointments of both the City Council of Pueblo and the Pueblo County
Commissioners pursuant to the provisions of the Amended Pueblo Regional Building
Department Agreement between the City of Pueblo and Pueblo County, dated August 10,
1981, and the City and County have now agreed as to those individuals they desire to
appoint to serve membership terms on the aforementioned Boards; and
WHEREAS, the City Council, in conjunction with the County of Pueblo, now
desires to appoint those individuals named below for three-year terms as specified in this
Resolution; NOW, THERFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1:
The following individuals are hereby appointed to the indicated Boards of Appeals -
Joint City/County appointments for three-year terms expiring July 1, 2014:
Building Board of Appeals Mechanical Board of Appeals

The following individual is hereby appointed to the Pueblo Regional Building
Commission for the three -year term expiring October 1, 2014:

year term expiring October 31, 2014:

ISSUE
Should City Council ratify the appointments made to the Pueblo Regional Building Commission
and the various Boards of Appeals following the joint City-County meeting of August 25, 2011?
BACKGROUND
Due to term expirations of Mark Kleven (Pueblo Regional Building Commission); Chad Pulsifer
and Steve Weidner (Building Board of Appeals); Larry G. Moore, Anthony J. Mihelich and Phil
Marquez (Electrical Board of Appeals); Steve F. Girodo and Robert D. Vigil (Mechanical Board
of Appeals); Dan White, Dale Dennigan and Scot C. Burbidge (Plumbing Board of Appeals) and
Scott Hitchcock and Scott Thompson (Sign Board of Appeals), there is one appointment to be
filled on the Pueblo Regional Building Commission for a term expiring October 1, 2014; ten
appointments to be filled on the various Boards of Appeals, for 3-year terms expiring July 1,
2014, and two appointments to be filled on the Sign Board of Appeals for 3-year terms expiring
October 31, 2014.
Following advertisements published in The Pueblo Chieftain on April 24, 2011 for the Building,
Electrical, Mechanical and Plumbing Boards of Appeals and on July 17, 2011 for the Pueblo
Regional Building Commission and the Sign Board of Appeals and notices on the Pueblo
County website and Government Channel, applications were received from the following
individuals:
