NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: SECTION 1. City Council hereby accepts the gift and transfer of the equipment from Metropolitan Medical Response System to the Fire Department. ISSUE Should City Council approve the acceptance of three Carbon Monoxide pulse oximeters and two gas detectors from Metropolitan Medical Response System? RECOMMENDATION Approval of the Resolution. BACKGROUND The Fire Department is a member of Metropolitan Medical Response System. This group made up of seven counties in Central Colorado. This group meets on a regular basis to help assist with preparation and planning for large scale incidents. This group also provides some financial assistance to members by way of grants of equipment or money. The Fire Department requested three Carbon Monoxide pulse oximeters and two gas detectors from the group two years ago and we were recently awarded the equipment with a value of approximately $16,000. FINANCIAL IMPACT Routine repair and maintenance costs associated with the upkeep of the equipment. The machines will have a warranty for the first two years. There is no further financial impact.
