PACHECO HUMAN RESOURCES DIRECTOR – MARISA WALKER TITLE AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 6-5-16 OF CHAPTER 5, OF TITLE VI OF THE PUEBLO MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO THE FY 2011 CLASSIFICATION AND PAY PLAN ISSUE Should City Council amend the FY2011 Classification and Pay Plan to reflect the addition of the position title and pay scale for Zoning Enforcement Supervisor? RECOMMENDATION Approval of the Ordinance. BACKGROUND Section 8-8 of the City Charter requires the Human Resources Director to provide a Uniform Schedule of Pay for the Classified Service, which shall be approved by the City Manager and submitted to City Council. This Ordinance will amend the FY 2011 Classification and Pay Plan to include the Zoning Enforcement Supervisor position and pay scale. FINANCIAL IMPACT With the current salary savings within the Planning Department, the addition of a Zoning Enforcement Officer and a Zoning Enforcement Supervisor will result in a net salary savings of $1,429 in 2011. The increase in zoning enforcement activities should result in additional fines collected by Municipal Court. The revenues from zoning enforcement fines will be tracked to determine the net impact of the Zoning Enforcement Officer on the City’s General Fund.
