A RESOLUTION APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE
ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, COLORADO, that:
SECTION 1
The following individuals are hereby appointed to the Zoning Board of Appeals:
For four -year terms expiring June 30, 2015:
Allison Ernst
Michael Castellucci
To complete the four -year term expiring June 30, 2014:
Ralph Scaplo

TITLE
A RESOLUTION APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS
ISSUE
Should City Council appoint two members to the Zoning Board of Appeals for four -year terms
expiring June 30, 2015 and one member to complete the four -year term expiring June 30, 2014,
vacated due to the resignation of Board Member Weston Burrer?
RECOMMENDATION
Approve the Resolution
BACKGROUND
Due to the term expirations of Incumbent Board Members Ralph Scaplo and Mike Castellucci
and the resignation of Board Member Weston Burrer, there are three appointments to be filled
on the Zoning Board of Appeals.
Incumbent Board Member Mike Castellucci has indicated he does wish to be considered for
reappointment. He was first appointed to this committee in 2003.
Incumbent Board Member Ralph Scaplo has indicated he does wish to be considered for
reappointment. He has also been a member of this committee since 2003.
Following advertisements published in the Pueblo Chieftain on Sunday, April 24, 2011, and
Sunday, May 15, 2011, and an announcement on the City Clerk's webpage seeking volunteers
to serve on this committee, applications were received from the following individuals:
Kendall Curtis, (NEW), Resident of the City of Pueblo
Allison Ernst (NEW), Resident of the City of Pueblo
Michael Castellucci, (INCUMBENT), Resident of the City of Pueblo
Ralph Scaplo, (INCUMBENT), Resident of the City of Pueblo
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Members of the Zoning Board of Appeals receive as compensation $25.00 for each regular or
special meeting actually attended. The Chairman of the Board receives as additional
compensation the sum of $50.00 per month for each month of service as Chairman. These
monies are allocated in the Planning & Zoning Department's annual budget.
