PACHECO, DIRECTOR TITLE AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE NAME OF DREW DIX DRIVE TO NOTTINGHAM THTH DRIVE WITHIN THE BELMONT SUBDIVISION, 28 AND 34 FILINGS ISSUE Shall City Council approve a request to change the name of Drew Dix Drive to Nottingham Drive? RECOMMENDATION The Planning and Zoning Commission, at their March 9, 2011 Regular Meeting, voted 5-0 to recommend approval. BACKGROUND The proposed street name change is necessary to facilitate the proposed street name change of Platteville Boulevard to Drew Dix Parkway as platted in the Pinion Ridge Commercial Center Subdivision. Currently, Platteville Boulevard cannot accommodate any additional addresses. Staff has worked with City Council who proposed moving Drew Dix to a more prominent location within the City of Pueblo to better honor the Medal of Honor recipient. Drew Dix Drive is currently located in Belmont, east and west of Troy Avenue. The one property owner whose business is addressed off of Drew Dix is impartial to the change (2121 Drew Dix Drive). FINANCIAL IMPACT None.
