HomeMy WebLinkAbout02644 8 -13 -70 RESOLUTION NO 2644 A RESOLUTION CONCERNING REMOVAL OF APPOINTIVE BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS FOR ABSENTEEISM WHEREAS Section 2 -5 of the Charter of the City of Pueblo provides that all members of appointive boards and commissions shall be subject to removal by the appointing authority, which is usually the City Council; and WHEREAS, absenteeism makes the work of the appointive boards and commissions more difficult and makes the actions and recommendations of such boards less representative of the whole community, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, COLORADO that SECTION 1 If any member of a board or commission appointed by this Council shall absent himself from three (3) consecutive regular meetings of the board or commission, such office is automatically declared vacant Any person appointed to fill such vacancy shall serve the unexpired term SECTION 2 The City Clerk is directed to forward copies of this Resolution to all members of Council- appointed boards and commissions INTRODUCED August 24 , 1970 BY DONALD E ABRAM Councilman APPROVED BERT A HEREFORD President of the Council ATTEST Lucy J Costa City Clerk
