A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT IN THE
AMOUNT OF $13,600 TO RENNER SPORTS SURFACES AND
SETTING FORTH $1,750 FOR CONTINGENCIES AND ADDITIONAL
WORK, FOR PROJECT NO. 10-082 (CD0916) PORTLAND PARK
BASKETBALL COURT (CDBG) AND AUTHORIZING THE
PURCHASING AGENT TO EXECUTE THE SAME
WHEREAS, proposals for PROJECT NO. 10-082 (CD0916) PORTLAND PARK
BASKETBALL COURT (CDBG) have been received and examined, and;
WHEREAS, the proposal of RENNER SPORTS SURFACES of Denver, Colorado was
the lowest of those bids determined to be responsible;
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1.
A contract for PROJECT NO. 10-082 (CD0916) PORTLAND PARK BASKETBALL
COURT (CDBG) be, and the same is hereby awarded to said bidder in the amount of $13,600.
SECTION 2.
The Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized to execute said contract on behalf of Pueblo,
A Municipal Corporation, and the City Clerk shall affix the seal of the City thereto and attest the
same.
SECTION 3.
In addition to the amount of the bid set forth, as aforementioned, an additional amount
as stipulated in this section is hereby established for contingencies and additional work.
Contingencies and Additional Work . . . . .$1,750
SECTION 4.
Funds for said project shall be from Project Code CD0916 – Portland Park Basketball
Court.

BACKGROUND
This project will consist of the conversion of an existing tennis court to a basketball
th
court, located in Portland Park at E. 19 Street and Portland Ave. Specifically, cracks in
the existing asphalt surface will be repaired, the asphalt will be resurfaced and playing
lines striped, along with installation of new basketball goals.
Attached is a bid summary showing the result of competitive bids on this project.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funds for this project will be paid from Project Code CD0916 – Portland Park Basketball
Court.
