A RESOLUTION APPOINTING A MEMBER TO THE PUEBLO HUMAN RELATIONS
COMMISSION - JOINT CITY/COUNTY APPOINTMENT
WHEREAS, Commission Member Pamela Cress resigned from the Pueblo Human
Relations Commission, creating a vacancy for the three-year term expiring December 31, 2011;
and
WHEREAS, following the PACOG meeting held on August 26, 2010, the Pueblo City
Council and the Board of County Commissioners jointly reviewed applications received from
individuals interested in serving on the Pueblo Human Relations Commission and agreed to
appoint Floyd Jaramillo to complete the three-year term expiring December 31, 2011; NOW,
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, COLORADO, that:
Floyd Jaramillo is hereby appointed to the Pueblo Human Relations Commission - Joint
City/County Appointment, to complete the three-term expiring December 31, 2011, vacated due
to the resignation of Pamela Cress.

ISSUE
Should City Council formalize the joint City-County appointment of Floyd Jaramillo to the Pueblo
Human Relations Commission, to complete the three-year term expiring December 31, 2011,
vacated due to the resignation of Commission Member Pamela Cress?
RECOMMENDATION
Approval of the Resolution
BACKGROUND
Due to the resignation of Commission Member Pamela Cress, there is one vacancy on the
Pueblo Human Relations Commission – Joint City/County Appointment. This appointment will
complete the three-year term expiring December 31, 2011.
Following an advertisement published in The Pueblo Chieftain on July 18, 2010, seeking
volunteers to serve on this committee, applications were received from the following individuals:
Judith Todero – Resident of the City of Pueblo
Floyd Jaramillo – Resident of the City of Pueblo
Following the PACOG meeting on August 26, 2010, members of the Pueblo City Council and the
Board of County Commissioners who were present reviewed the applications and selected
Floyd Jaramillo to complete the three-year term expiring on December 31, 2011.
