TITLE
A RESOLUTION INCREASING FEES FOR MEDICAL MARIJUANA FACILITY
LICENSES BY ADDING POLICE DEPARTMENT POST-LICENSURE FEES AND
ESTABLISHING POLICE DEPARTMENT FEES FOR PRE-LICENSURE
INSPECTIONS
ISSUES
Should the fees initially established in Sec. 11-10-304(a) of the Pueblo Municipal Code,
as amended, be increased (by adding Police Department post-licensure fees), as
provided in Sec. 11-10-304(b)?
Should a police department fee for pre-licensure on-site inspections be established?
RECOMMENDATION
Approve the resolution increasing said fees.
BACKGROUND
The Pueblo Police Department has completed calculating its annual costs for pre- and
post-licensure inspection, monitoring and surveillance of medical marijuana facilities.
These costs should be added to the costs already established by ordinance for licensing
medical marijuana facilities.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
The increased fees will off-set Police Department costs for inspecting, monitoring and
surveilling medical marijuana facilities.
