TITLE
AN ORDINANCE TEMPORARILY DESIGNATING THE FORMER MUNICIPAL COURT
BUILDING, 301 WEST "B" STREET, PUEBLO, COLORADO AS CITY HALL,
DESIGNATING THE FORMER COURTROOM IN SAID FACILITY AS THE COUNCIL
CHAMBER, AND DESIGNATING THE LOCATION FOR POSTING NOTICES OF

THE CITY OF PUEBLO
ISSUE
Should the City Council temporarily designate the former Municipal Court Building at
301 W. "B" Street, Pueblo, Colorado as "City Hall" and designate a new location for
posting meeting notices during the renovation of the historic City Hall.
RECOMMENDATION
Approval.
BACKGROUND
Under §3-15 of the Charter, regular City Council meetings shall be held on the second
and fourth Mondays of each month "at the City Hall." Other provisions in the Pueblo
Municipal Code and the Council's Procedural Rules refer to the Council Chamber.
During the anticipated repair and renovation of City Hall, the building cannot be safely
occupied by Council, City staff and the public. For that reason, it is necessary that a
temporary City Hall be designated to assure that regular meetings of the City Council
are duly held in City Hall as provided by Charter.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
None anticipated.
