HomeMy WebLinkAbout11950RESOLUTION NO. 11950 A RESOLUTION APPROPRIATING $15,000 FROM THE CONTINGENCIES ACCOUNT IN THE 2010 GENERAL FUND BUDGET TO BE PAID TO THE COUNTY OF PUEBLO AS FUNDING FOR THE LOCUST STREET IMPROVEMENTS COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE RUNYON LAKE ACCESS ROAD BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: SECTION 1. The appropriation of $15,000 from the Contingencies Account in the 2010 General Fund budget is hereby approved. SECTION 2. Said funds shall be disbursed from the Contingencies Account to the County of Pueblo to fund the street improvements to Locust Street commonly known as the Runyon Lake Access Road. EICKELMAN, ASSISTANT CITY MANAGER TITLE A RESOLUTION APPROPRIATING $15,000 FROM THE CONTINGENCIES ACCOUNT IN THE 2010 GENERAL FUND BUDGET TO BE PAID TO THE COUNTY OF PUEBLO AS FUNDING FOR THE LOCUST STREET IMPROVEMENTS COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE RUNYON LAKE ACCESS ROAD ISSUE Should City Council appropriate money to the County of Pueblo as funding for the Locust Street Improvements? BACKGROUND The County Commissioners have asked that the City and the Conservancy District to co-fund the improvements to Locust Street, which is the access road to Runyon Lake. Funding these improvements will allow better access to the Runyon Lake area for all citizens of Pueblo to enjoy. RECOMMENDATION This Resolution is at the request of City Council President Larry Atencio. FINANCIAL IMPACT Funds in the amount of $15,000 from the Contingencies Account in the 2010 General Fund Budget will be appropriated.
