A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AND RATIFYING COLORADO
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FUNDING FOR THE MAY
CLICK IT OR TICKET ENFORCEMENT, ESTABLISHING
PROJECT NUMBER PD1005, AND AUTHORIZING THE
TRANSFER OF FUNDS THEREFORE
WHEREAS, the City Council of Pueblo has the authority on behalf of the City of Pueblo,
including its Police Department, to accept funding from the State of Colorado for public and
municipal purposes, and
WHEREAS, the Colorado Department of Transportation has tendered May Click It or
Ticket Grant funding that will not exceed the amount of $4,000.00, and
WHEREAS, acceptance of the funding for the purposes for which it has been made is in
the best interest of the City and will benefit the health, welfare and safety of the citizens of the
City; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1.
The Award of the May Click It or Ticket Grant funding to the City of Pueblo is hereby
accepted and ratified effective as of May 24, 2010.
SECTION 2.
Project Number PD1005, May Click It or Ticket Grant, is hereby established in the Police
Grants Fund.
SECTION 3.
The amount of $4,000.00 is hereby authorized for transfer from the Projects to be
Determined Account in the Police Grants Fund to Project Number PD1005. Said funds shall
only be expended and used for this Project.

ISSUE
Should the City of Pueblo accept Colorado Department of Transportation May Click It or Ticket
Enforcement Grant funding on behalf of the Police Department not to exceed the amount of
$4,000.00?
RECOMMENDATION
Department recommends approval of the Resolution.
BACKGROUND

This funding will allow the Police Department to conduct Seat Belt Enforcement from May 24
th
through June 6, 2010.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
There is no local match required for this grant.
