A RESOLUTION APPOINTING A CITY COUNCIL MEMBER TO THE COMMITTEE
WHICH APPOINTS TRUSTEES TO THE PUEBLO CITY - COUNTY LIBRARY
DISTRICT BOARD OF TRUSTEES
WHEREAS, pursuant to §24- 90- 108(2)(c) C.R.S., the Committee which appoints
Trustees to the Pueblo City- County Library District shall include two Representatives
from City Council; and
WHEREAS, City Council Member Michael Occhiato's term on City Council
expired, leaving a vacancy on the Committee which appoints Trustees to the Pueblo
City- County Library District Board of Trustees.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO,
COLORADO. that:
SECTION 1.
The following City Council Member is hereby appointed as a Representative on
the Committee which appoints Trustees to the Pueblo City- County Library District Board
of Trustees.

ISSUE
Should a City Council Member be appointed to the Committee which appoints Trustees to the
Pueblo City- County Library District Board of Trustees?
BACKGROUND
Pursuant to §24- 90- 108(2)(c) C.R.S., there shall be two members from City Council on the
Committee which makes recommendations for appointment of Trustees to the Pueblo City -
County Library District Board of Trustees.
On December 31, 2009, Council Member Michael Occhiato's term on City Council expired,
leaving a vacancy on the Committee which appoints Trustees to the Pueblo City- County Library
District Board of Trustees.
This Resolution will appoint a City Council Member to the Committee which appoints Trustees
to the Pueblo City- County Library District.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approval of the Resolution.
