HomeMy WebLinkAbout11825RESOLUTION NO. 11825 A RESOLUTION ABOLISHING AND RE- ESTABLISHING THE CLEAN UP PUEBLO ADVISORY AND PLANNING COMMITTEE AND APPOINTING MEMBERS THERETO BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: SGrTlr)Kl 1 The Clean Up Pueblo Advisory and Planning Committee established by Resolution No. 11313 of the City Council is hereby abolished. SECTION 2 There is hereby established the Clean Up Pueblo Advisory and Planning Committee (the "Committee ") as an advisory citizen committee to the City Council. The Committee shall consist of eleven (11) members to serve without compensation, who are broadly representative of the community. The City Council shall, by resolution, appoint the members of the Committee for terms of four (4) years, except that the initial Committee appointed shall be as set forth in Section 4 hereof for the initial staggered terms set forth in Section 4. SECTION 3 The Committee shall not have a regular staff or budget but may request administrative assistance from the City Manager. EICKELMAN, ASSISTANT CITY MANAGER TITLE A RESOLUTION ABOLISHING AND RE- ESTABLISHING THE CLEAN UP PUEBLO ADVISORY AND PLANNING COMMITTEE AND APPOINTING MEMBERS THERETO ISSUE Should City Council abolish the Clean Up Pueblo Advisory and Planning Committee as established by Resolution No. 11313 and re- establish the Clean Up Pueblo Advisory and Planning Committee as an advisory citizen committee to the City Council? BACKGROUND The Clean Up Pueblo Advisory and Planning Committee as established by Resolution No. 11313 was to sunset on June 1, 2012. Because of the success of this committee, this new Resolution will re- establish the committee as a permanent advisory citizen committee to the City Council. City Council will appoint the members of the Committee for terms of four (4) years, except that the initial Committee shall be staggered terms with four terms to expire in 2014, four terms to expire in 2013, and three terms to expire in 2012. Approval of the Resolution. FINANCIAL IMPACT None.
