HomeMy WebLinkAbout11766RESOLUTION NO. 11766 A RESOLUTION APPOINTING A MEMBER TO THE PUEBLO REGIONAL BUILDING DEPARTMENT'S ELECTRICAL BOARD OF APPEALS — JOINT CITY /COUNTY APPOINTMENT WHEREAS, appointment to the Pueblo Regional Building Department's Electrical Board of Appeals is a joint appointment of both the City Council and the County Commissioners pursuant to the provisions of the amended Pueblo Regional Building Department Agreement between the City of Pueblo and Pueblo County, dated August 10, 1981; and WHEREAS, Board Member Elmo Bailey resigned from the Electrical Board of Appeals; and WHEREAS, following the PACOG Meeting on December 3, 2009, the City Council and County Commissioners agreed to appoint Phil Marquez to complete the term expiring July 1, 2011; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: The following individual is hereby appointed to the Pueblo Regional Building Department's Electrical Board of Appeals, Utility Company Engineer or Journeyman Electrician, to complete the 3 -year term expiring July 1, 2011: PHIL MARQUEZ A77TSTDD SY: CITY CLERK INTRODUCED: December 14, 2009 BY: Randy Thurston COUNCILPERSON APPR D' } �. Approve Resolution. BACKGROUND Due to the resignation of Elmo Bailey, there is one term to be filled on the Electrical Board of Appeals —Joint City /County Appointment of a Utility Company Engineer or Journeyman Electrician. This appointment will complete the 3 -year term expiring July 1, 2011. Following the PACOG meeting on December 3, 2009, members of City Council and the Board of County Commissioners selected Phil Marquez to complete the 3 -year term expiring July 1, 2011. FINANCIAL IMPACT This is a volunteer board, and members serve without compensation.
