TITLE
A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE CITY OF PUEBLO RECOMMENDED PLANT LIST
ISSUE
Should the City Council adopt the City of Pueblo Recommended Plant List?
RECOMMENDATION
The Streetscape Advisory Committee voted to recommend approval.
The Planning and Zoning Commission, at their November 11, 2009 Regular Meeting,
voted 5 -0 to recommend approval.
BACKGROUND
The pending Landscape Performance Standards Ordinance, scheduled for final
presentation on November 23, 2009, provides that all projects required to comply with
the Landscape Performance Standards must select plants from the City of Pueblo
Recommended Plant List, and prohibits the use of plants on the Prohibited Plant List
(contained on Page 21 of the Recommended Plant List). It also gives the City's
Landscape Architect the authority to approve plants not on the list, under special
circumstances, so long as it is not on the Prohibited Plant List.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
None.
