A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT IN THE
AMOUNT OF $141,015.00 TO INDUSTRIAL CONSTRUCTORS /MANAGERS,
INC., AND SETTING FORTH $28,203.00 FOR CONTINGENCIES, FOR the
FY2009 JAMES R. DIIORIO WATER RECLAMATION FACILITY BOILER
INSTALLATION PROJECT AND AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING AGENT
TO EXECUTE THE SAME
WHEREAS, competitive bids for the Project No. 09 -093 (WW0802) FY2009 James R.
Dilorio Water Reclamation Facility Boiler Installation have been received and examined, and;
WHEREAS the proposal of Industrial Constructors /Managers Inc. of Pueblo, Colorado
was the lowest of those bids determined to be responsive;
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1.
A contract to install a hot water boiler at the James R. Dilorio Water Reclamation Facility
specified in the drawings, Contract Agreement for hot water boiler installation with Industrial
Constructors /Managers Inc. (Project No. 09 -093; WW0802) be, and the same is hereby
awarded to said bidder in the amount of $141,015.00.
SECTION 2.
The Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized to execute said contract on behalf of Pueblo,
A Municipal Corporation, and the City Clerk shall affix the seal of the City thereto and attest the
same.
SECTION 3.
In addition to the amount of the bid set forth, as aforementioned, an additional amount
as stipulated in this section is hereby established for contingencies and additional work.
Contingencies and Additional Work ......... $28,203.00
SECTION 4.
Funds for said project shall be from the Sewer User Fund.

Should the City Council award a construction contract in the amount of $141,015.00 to
Industrial Constructors /Managers, Inc., for the FY2009 James R. Dilorio Water
Reclamation Facility Boiler Installation Project?
Approve this Resolution.
BACKGROUND
During routine maintenance at the James R. Dilorio Water Reclamation Facility it was
discovered that the existing hot water boiler was in need of repair. To keep the heating
system in service and provide employees with a safe working environment a backup
boiler needs to be installed. A bid summary sheet is attached.
The cost breakdown for the project is as follows:
Boiler Installation
Boiler Installation ................ ............................... $88,027.00
Bid Alternate
Heat Exchanger Installation .............................. $ 52,988.00
TOTAL: $141,015.00
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funding for this project will be taken from the Sewer User Fund. Funding is available
and was appropriated in the 2008 budget (Project No. 09 -093; WW0802).
