A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE DONATION OF TWO
WORLD WAR I ERA RIFLES FROM THE CITY OF
PUEBLO TO THE PUEBLO AIRCRAFT MUSEUM
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1.
The donation of two surplus rifles from the World War I era that are no longer of
use to the City before their value is lost through deterioration or spoilage to the Pueblo
Aircraft Museum is hereby approved. These rifles have historic value rather than
monetary value, and would be displayed along with other memorabilia of the World War
I era in the Pueblo Aircraft Museum. The rifles in question are: one M -1 Universal
Carbine w /Scope, Serial Number 358982 and one M -1 Plainfield 30- caliber, Serial
Number 23644.
SECTION 2.
This resolution shall become effective upon final passage and approval.

Should the City of Pueblo donate two World War I era rifles to the Pueblo Aircraft
Museum?
RECOMMENDATION
Approval of the Resolution.
BACKGROUND
The two World War I era rifles are surplus rifles that are no longer of use to the City.
The Police Department would like to donate the rifles to the Pueblo Aircraft Museum to
be displayed along with other World War I memorabilia. These rifles have historic value
rather than monetary value. The specifics on the rifles: one M -1 Universal Carbine
w /Scope, Serial Number 358982 and one M -1 Plainfield 30- caliber, Serial Number
23644.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
There is no financial cost involved.
