A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT IN THE
AMOUNT OF $78,657.10 TO CEDAR RIDGE LANDSCAPE, INC., AND
SETTING FORTH $21,342.90 FOR CONTINGENCIES AND
ADDITIONAL WORK, FOR PROJECT NO 09 -038 (CPAN11) FY 2009
CROSSPAN REPLACEMENT PROJECT AND AUTHORIZING THE
PURCHASING AGENT TO EXECUTE THE SAME
WHEREAS, proposals for PROJECT NO. 09 -038 (CPAN11) FY 2009 CROSSPAN
REPLACEMENT PROJECT have been received and examined, and;
WHEREAS, the proposal of CEDAR RIDGE LANDSCAPE, INC., of Pueblo, Colorado
was the lowest of those bids determined to be responsible;
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1.
A contract for PROJECT NO. 09 -038 (CPAN11) FY 2009 CROSSPAN REPLACEMENT
PROJECT be, and the same is hereby awarded to said bidder in the amount of $78,657.10.
SECTION 2.
The Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized to execute said contract on behalf of Pueblo,
A Municipal Corporation, and the City Clerk shall affix the seal of the City thereto and attest the
same.
SECTION 3.
In addition to the amount of the bid set forth, as aforementioned, an additional amount
as stipulated in this section is hereby established for contingencies and additional work.
Contingencies and Additional Work .....$21,342.90
SECTION 4.
Funds for said project shall be from Project Code CPAN11.

ISSUE
Should City Council award a construction contract for FY 2009 CROSSPAN
REPLACEMENT PROJECT to CEDAR RIDGE LANDSCAPE, INC., for $78,657.10.
Approval of this Resolution
BACKGROUND
This project will remove and replace approximately five (5) deteriorated crosspans and
install curb ramps at various locations citywide. If funds are remaining in the
contingencies after the bid locations are completed, then additional crosspan locations
will be replaced. See attached list for the locations of the project.
Also attached is a bid summary showing the result of competitive bids on this project.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funds for this project will be paid from Project Code CPAN11.
