TITLE
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING U.S. DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE FUNDING FOR
POLICE BODY ARMOR VESTS IN PROJECT NUMBER PD0504, AND AUTHORIZING
THE TRANSFER OF FUNDS THEREFORE
ISSUE
Should the City of Pueblo accept U.S. Department of Justice funding on behalf of the
Pueblo Police Department in an amount not to exceed $7,695.00?
RECOMMENDATION
The Department recommends approval of this Resolution.
BACKGROUND
All Pueblo police officers are provided with body armor vests as part of their uniform.
This funding will allow the Police Department to purchase new body armor vests for the
17 new and future officers in the POST certified academy at the department.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
This funding is a 50 -50 match. The City of Pueblo placed a match amount into the Body
Armor account previously when vests were purchased for all department police officers.
Therefore, there is no match required for this funding amount.
