HomeMy WebLinkAbout11480RESOLUTION NO. 11480 A RESOLUTION APPOINTING JERRY M. PACHECO INTERIM CITY MANAGER BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: Jerry M. Pacheco is hereby appointed Interim City Manager for the City of Pueblo to perform the duties of City Manager commencing January 5, 2009. Since the appointment of Jerry M Pacheco is on an interim basis until City Council appoints a City Manager, the City Council finds and determines that Jerry M. Pacheco need not be a resident of the City of Pueblo during the time he serves as Interim City Manager. Jerry M. Pacheco was initially appointed Acting City Manager on December 2, 2008 by City Manager David J. Galli to serve as City Manager during his absence. The monthly salary of Jerry M. Pacheco as Interim City Manager and Director of Planning and Community Development is hereby fixed at $11,670.00 per month commencing December 2, 2008 and continuing until modified by action of the City Council. He shall continue to accrue and receive the benefits he received as an employee in the unclassified service of the City of Pueblo, provided, that vacation leave shall accumulate at the rate of fourteen (14) hours for each completed month of service as Interim City Manager. City shall provide Jerry M. Pacheco, at his option, either an automobile or allowance of $500.00 per month. If he is provided an automobile by City, the President of the City Council shall approve the year, make and model of such automobile. If City provides an automobile allowance, he shall be responsible for all insurance, repairs, maintenance, gas and oil for his own automobile. SECTION 3 Jerry M. Pacheco was appointed to and now serves as Director of Planning and Community Development. In addition to his performing the duties of Interim City Manager, he shall continue to be the Director of Planning and Community Development, which appointment and position shall not be affected in any manner by his appointment, resignation or removal as Interim City Manager. Therefore, if Jerry M. Pacheco resigns or is removed as Interim City Manager, he shall continue to be appointed to and serve as Director of the Department of Planning and Community Development subject only to removal as provided in Section 4 -5(b) of the Charter of the City of Pueblo. cFCTTnN 4 This Resolution shall become effective upon final passage and approval.
