A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE TRANSFER OF
DONATED FEDERAL RAILROAD ADMINISTRATION
PROTOTYPE VEHICLES FROM THE CITY OF PUEBLO
TO THE PUEBLO RAILWAY FOUNDATION
WHEREAS, the Federal Railroad Administration donated three prototype
vehicles to the City of Pueblo for use as display items at the Pueblo Weisbrod Aircraft
Museum; and
WHEREAS, the City of Pueblo is desirous of transferring two of the prototype
vehicles to the Pueblo Railway Foundation; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1.
The Prototype Air Cushion Research Vehicle (PTACV), TTC #3446, and the
Prototype Tracked Air Cushion Research Vehicle (TACRV), TTC #B41 -1600, are hereby
transferred to the Pueblo Railway Foundation in their present condition "AS IS" without
any warranty, express or implied, including, without limitation, the condition of the
vehicles, or their merchantability or fitness for any purpose.

The President of the City Council is authorized to execute any and all
instruments, if any, required to effect the transfer approved in Section 1 above.

PUEBLO RAILWAY FOUNDATION
ISSUE
Should City Council approve the transfer of the prototype vehicles to the Pueblo Railway
Foundation.
RECOMMENDATION
Approval of this Resolution.
BACKGROUND
In the 1980's, the Federal Railroad Administration loaned three prototype vehicles to the City for
display at the Pueblo Weisbrod Aircraft Museum. In August 2000, the vehicles were donated
and released to the City. One of these vehicles is currently on loan to the Power Superconductor
Applications Corp in New Castle, PA for research purposes. The other two vehicles are
currently at the Pueblo Weisbrod Aircraft Museum. In preparation for the construction of a new
hangar for the aircraft on display, the City and the Aircraft Museum are desirous of relocating
and transferring these prototype vehicles. The Pueblo Railway Foundation has agreed to take the
vehicles and display them.
