HomeMy WebLinkAbout11457RESOLUTION NO. 11457 A RESOLUTION APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE SIGN BOARD OF APPEALS -JOINT CITY /COUNTY APPOINTMENTS WHEREAS, the Pueblo City Council and the Board of County Commissioners of Pueblo County Colorado have jointly reviewed applications following the PACOG Meeting held on October 23, 2008, and; WHEREAS, it is now the desire of the Pueblo City Council to formalize the appointments made following the PACOG Meeting on October 23, 2008; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, COLORADO, that: SECTION 1 The following individuals are hereby appointed to the Sign Board of Appeals for the 3 -year terms expiring October 31, 2011: Scott Thompson BY Randy Thurston Councilperson R rt0f { CLERK Scott Hitchcock INTRODUCED November 10, 2008 Background Paper for Proposed RESOLUTION AGENDA ITEM # 8 DATE: November 10, 2008 DEPARTMENT: CITY CLERK GINA DUTCHER, MMC TITLE A RESOLUTION APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE SIGN BOARD OF APPEALS - JOINT CITY /COUNTY APPOINTMENTS ISSUE Should City Council formalize the appointments made following the October 23, 2008 PACOG Meeting, inserting the names of Scott Thompson and Scott Hitchcock for the 3- year terms expiring October 31, 2011? RECOMMENDATION Approval of the Resolution, inserting the names of Scott Thompson and Scott Hitchcock for the 3 -year terms expiring October 31, 2011. BACKGROUND Due to term expirations of Scott Thompson and Scott Hitchcock, there are two vacancies on the Sign Board of Appeals. Incumbents Thompson and Hitchcock have both indicated that they DO wish to be considered for reappointment, and their questionnaires are attached. An advertisement was published in The Pueblo Chieftain on August 24, 2008, requesting volunteers for these joint appointments, with NO new questionnaires being received. Following the PACOG meeting of October 23, 2008, Scott Thompson and Scott Hitchcock were reappointed by members of the Pueblo City Council and the Board of County Commissioners for the 3 -year terms expiring October 31, 2011.
