A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $737,500 FROM
GENERAL REVENUE FUNDS TO THE COMMUNITY SERVICES ADVISORY
COMMITTEE PROCESS FOR THE PURPOSE OF ALLOCATING CITY MONIES TO NON-
PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS WITHIN THE CITY AND COUNTY OF PUEBLO FOR THE
2009 FISCAL YEAR AND REPEALING RESOLUTION 11398
ISSUE
The Community Services Advisory Commission (CSAC) was created in 2004 for the
purpose of assisting with funding requests and recommending allocations to non - profit
organizations in the City and County of Pueblo. In fiscal year 2008, the City allocated
$758,000 ($800,000 was the original allocation with a subtraction of $42,000 due to
PEDCO being removed from the CSAC process). Moreover, this year, the Mountain
Park Environmental Committee (MPEC) has been removed from the CSAC process that
will reduce the amount allocated to this process by $20,500 thus, making the total
$737,500 for the year 2009. This Resolution will designate a fixed amount per Council's
consensus.
RECOMMENDATION
Approval of the Resolution.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
If Resolution is passed, funds in the amount of $737,500 will be designated in the
General Fund for the CSAC process.
