RECOMMENDATION Approval of this Resolution BACKGROUND The project will remove screw pump #3 at the Headworks Building at the James R. Dilorio Water Reclamation Facility. The current screw pump is approximately 30 years old and has reached the limits of its intended design life. Subsequently, screw pump #3 will be replaced by two submersible pumps. The two new submersible pumps are more in line with current technologies and will allow for more efficient reclamation operations. Competitive bids were solicited. Four firms submitted bids. The contract was awarded to the apparent low bidder. A bid summary sheet is attached. FINANCIAL IMPACT Funds for this project were appropriated as part of the FY2008 annual budget and will be provided from the Sewer User Fund.
