A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT IN THE AMOUNT OF $549,913
AND SETTING FORTH $54,991 FOR CONTINGENCIES TO ACME ELECTRIC, INC. FOR THE
RUNWAY 8R/26L PAVEMENT MARKING AND GUIDANCE SIGN SAFETY PROJECT AT THE
PUEBLO MEMORIAL AIRPORT UNDER FEDERAL AIP PROJECT NO. 3 -08- 0046 -27 AND
AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING AGENT TO EXECUTE SAME
WHEREAS, proposals for the Runway 8R/26L Pavement Marking and Guidance Sign
Safety Project at Pueblo Memorial Airport have been received and examined; and
WHEREAS, the proposal of Acme Electric, Inc. was the only bid received and was
determined to be responsible; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1.
A contract for the Pueblo Memorial Airport Runway 8R/26L Pavement Marking and
Guidance Sign Safety Project is hereby awarded to said bidder in the amount of $549,913.
SECTION 2.
In addition to the amount of the bid, an additional amount as stipulated in this section is
hereby established for contingencies and additional work.
Contingencies and Additional Work: $54,991
SECTION 3_
Funds for said project shall be expended from Project No. AP0801.
SECTION 4.
The Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the City of
Pueblo, a Municipal Corporation, and the City Clerk shall affix the seal of the City thereto and attest
the same.

ISSUE
Should City Council award a construction contract for the Runway 8R/26L Pavement
Marking and Guidance Sign Safety Project at Pueblo Memorial Airport.
RECOMMENDATION
Approval of this Resolution.
BACKGROUND
The FAA has concerns over the current markings and guidance signage of Runway
8R/26L and has provided funding for this project. One bid was received on this project
and that bid was from Acme Electric, Inc. The project is funded under a federal grant
and. a state grant has been accepted that will pay for half of the City's matching funds.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funds in the amount of $549,913 plus $54,991 in contingencies shall be paid from
Project AP0801.
