A RESOLUTION APPROVING A LEASE EXTENSION AGREEMENT BETWEEN
PUEBLO, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, AND PUEBLO MUNICIPAL SHOOTERS,
INC. RELATING TO THE BUILDING LOCATED AT 3255% NUCKOLLS AVENUE,
PUEBLO, COLORADO
ISSUE
Should the City Council approve the Lease Extension Agreement between the City of
Pueblo and Pueblo Municipal Shooters, Inc. be approved for an additional five years?
BACKGROUND
Pueblo Municipal Shooters, Inc. has used the building located at 3455'/2 Nuckolls
Avenue, located in the City Park, since 1957. The City of Pueblo owns the land on
which the Shooters building is located. The proposed lease extension agreement would
allow the organization to continue operating from that same location for an additional
five -year period.
Concerns had been raised regarding health issues of the users of the facility. The
Municipal Shooters contacted the firm of Acclaim Environmental Services for technical
assistance to resolve the concerns. After reviewing the recommendations, the Pueblo
City - County Health Department concurred and indicated that they were willing to do
some training of the organization's instructors to reduce personal exposures.
