TITLE
A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING AND PROMOTING WESTERN WATER WISE
LANDSCAPING FOR THE CITY OF PUEBLO IN ORDER TO ENHANCE ECONOMIC
DEVELOPMENT AND THE AESTHETIC BEAUTY OF THE CITY, AND ENCOURAGE
WATER CONSERVATION EFFORTS THERETO
BACKGROUND
In 2006, the City Council developed goals and objectives for the City and some of these
goals were to enhance economic viability and improve the aesthetic beauty of the City.
It was concluded by the Council that it is necessary for the City staff and the citizens of
Pueblo to take the necessary steps in making Pueblo a more attractive city through
more cleanup efforts and improved landscaping techniques. After researching and
reviewing the options of landscaping, it has been determined that Western Landscaping
would be the best option to utilize with City landscaping projects and by the citizens of
Pueblo. Western Landscaping is not only beautiful in its context, but also is an
economically feasible type of gardening that is more conducive to the and regions of the
Southwestern United States.
