A RESOLUTION APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE PUEBLO HUMAN RELATIONS
COMMISSION (CITY APPOINTMENTS)
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, COLORADO, the individuals
listed below are hereby appointed to the Human Relations Commission:
Kristi K. Martinez
to complete the term expiring December 31, 2007
Margie J. O'Leary to complete the term expiring December 31, 2009

A RESOLUTION APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE PUEBLO HUMAN RELATIONS
COMMISSION (CITY APPOINTMENTS)
ISSUE
Should City Council appoint two members (City Appointments) to the Pueblo Human Relations
Commission to complete the terms of Eric Medina expiring December 31, 2007 and Neva Lang -
Peters expiring December 31, 2009.
Approve the Resolution and appoint members to the Human Relations Commission.
Due to the removal of Eric Medina and the resignation of Neva Lang - Peters, there are two City
Appointed vacancies on the Human Relations Commission. Two separate advertisements were
published in Pueblo Chieftain asking for volunteers to serve on this Commission.
The first ad appeared in the newspaper on Sunday, March 25, 2007 asking for volunteers to fill the
position vacated by Eric Medina and only one individual submitted a questionnaire (Kristi
Martinez).
A delay in this appointment was, due to the revision of the HRC questionnaire. During that time, we
received a resignation from Neva Lang- Peters.
The second ad appeared in the newspaper on Sunday, May 8, 2007 asking for volunteers to fill the
position vacated by the Neva Lang- Peters and we received two questionnaires (Keith Townsend
and Margie J. O'Leary).
