A RESOLUTION APPROVING AGREEMENTS WITH SUNGARD HTE INC. TO PROVIDE
SOFTWARE LICENSES AND SUPPORT SERVICES RELATING TO CITY REQUEST FOR
PROPOSAL PROJECT NO. 06 -072, AND AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF CITY COUNCIL
TO EXECUTE SAME.
WHEREAS, the City of Pueblo had issued a Request for Proposal Project (RFP) No. 06-
072 for an Integrated Public Safety System, which included provision of software licenses for public
safety computer software and related training, support and other services, and SunGard H.T.E.
Inc. has responded to the RFP and was the selected preferred provider: and
WHEREAS, the funds to purchase an Integrated Public Safety System were budgeted in
the 2007 Annual Budget Capital Project CP 0703 and the proposal submitted by SunGard H.T.E. is
within that budget.; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1.
The software license and services agreement dated June 25, 2007 and the licensed
program(s) support agreement dated June 25, 2007 between the City of Pueblo and Sungard
H.T.E. Inc. (agents), true copies of which are attached hereto, are hereby approved.
SECTION 2.
The President of City Council is herby authorized to execute the agreements with such changes
thereto as the President of City Council and the City Attorney may agree, and the City Clerk to
attest same.
SECTION 3.
This resolution shall become effective upon its passage.

TITLE

THE PRESIDENT OF CITY COUNCIL TO EXECUTE SAME.
ISSUE
The present Integrated Public Safety System has become outdated and
cumbersome. The City issued a RFP in 2006 and in the 2007 Annual Budget,
budgeted in Capital Project CP -0703 $796,747 for the replacement of the old
Integrated Publl &. fety System.
RECOMMENDATION
The Department recommends approval of this resolution.
BACKGROUND
The City of Pueblo issued an RFP Project No. 06 -072 in November 2006 for
proposals to replace the current Integrated Public Safety System to include a
state of the art Law Enforcement Records Management System and Computer
Aided Dispatch System.

The financial impact would be $796,747 budgeted in Capital Project #CP -0703
