FOR THE RUNWAY 17/35 PARALLEL TAXIWAY P PROJECT AT THE PUEBLO MEMORIAL AIRPORT UNDER FEDERAL AIP PROJECT NO. 3 -08- 0046 -26 AND AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING AGENT TO EXECUTE SAME WHEREAS, proposals for the Runway 17/35 Parallel Taxiway P project at Pueblo Memorial Airport have been received and examined; and WHEREAS, the proposal of Parker Excavating, Inc. was the lowest and best of those bids determined to be responsible; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: SECTION 1. A contract for the Pueblo Memorial Airport Runway 17/35 Parallel Taxiway P project is hereby awarded to said bidder in the amount of $1,468,046. SECTION 2. In addition to the amount of the bid, an additional amount as stipulated in this section is hereby established for contingencies and additional work: Contingencies and Additional Work: $146,805 SECTION 3. Funds for said project shall be expended from Project No. AP0701. SECTION 4. The Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the City of Pueblo, a Municipal Corporation, and the City Clerk shall affix the seal of the City thereto and attest the same. FOR THE RUNWAY 17/35 PARALLEL TAXIWAY P PROJECT AT THE PUEBLO MEMORIAL AIRPORT UNDER FEDERAL AIP PROJECT NO. 3 -08- 0046 -26 AND AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING AGENT TO EXECUTE SAME ISSUE Should City Council award a construction contract for the Runway 17/35 Parallel Taxiway P project at the Pueblo Memorial Airport. RECOMMENDATION Approval of this Resolution. BACKGROUND Proposals for the Runway 17/35 Parallel Taxiway P project were received and examined and Parker Excavating, Inc. was the lowest and best of those bids determined to be responsible. The project is to be funded by the FAA at 95 %, the State at 2.5% and local funds at 2.5 %. FINANCIAL IMPACT Funds in the amount of $1,468,046 plus $146,805 in contingencies will be taken from AP0701. The City's matching funds will be $36,701 plus $3,670 in contingencies.
