A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT TO ATHEY BEAMAN CO, INC OF
PUEBLO IN THE AMOUNT OF $33,955.00 AND SETTING FORTH $4,000.00 FOR
CONTINGENCIES AND ADDITIONAL WORK TO REMOVE & REPLACE THE ROOF ON FIRE
STATION #4 AND AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING AGENT TO EXECUTE THE SAME
WHEREAS, proposals for the PROJECT NO. 07 -022 REMOVE & REPLACE THE ROOF
ON FIRE STATION #4 have been received and examined, and;
WHEREAS, the proposal of ATHEY BEAMAN CO, INC of Pueblo,
Colorado was the lowest of those bids determined to be responsible;
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:

A contract for the PROJECT NO. 07 -022 REMOVE & REPLACE THE ROOF ON FIRE
STATION #4 be, and the same is hereby awarded to said bidder in the amount of $33,955.00
SECTION 2.
The Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized to execute said contract on behalf of Pueblo, A
Municipal Corporation, and the City Clerk shall affix the seal of the City thereto and attest the
same.
SECTION 3.
In addition to the amount of the bid set forth, as aforementioned, an additional amount as
stipulated in this section is hereby established for contingencies and additional work.
Contingencies and Additional Work .... $4,000.00
SECTION 4.
Funds for said project shall be from Project Codes CP0605.

ISSUE
Should City Council approve a resolution awarding a construction contract to
Athey Beaman Co, Inc of Pueblo to remove and replace the roofing on Fire
Station #4.
RECOMMENDATION
Approval of this Resolution.
BACKGROUND
The roof on Fire Station #4 is old, of indeterminant age, and has leaked for quite
a while causing damage in many areas of the building. A new roof is needed to
protect the integrity of the structure.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funds for this project will be paid from Project Number CP0605 — City Building
Repairs.
