A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE DESIGNS FOR THE VISITOR SERVICE ENHANCEMENTS
AT THE HISTORIC ARKANSAS RIVERWALK OF PUEBLO
WHEREAS, the designs for the Visitor Services Enhancements at the Historic Arkansas
Riverwalk of Pueblo consist of the following four (4) enhancement projects; remodeling the existing
boathouse; provide way finding signs; construct a pedestrian bridge that recognizes Veterans
throughout the region; and installation of a shade structure; and
WHEREAS, the designs for the Visitor Services Enhancements are in compliance with the
Historic Arkansas Riverwalk of Pueblo Program Diagram dated the 20 of November 1996; NOW
THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, COLORADO, that:
SECTION 1.
The Designs for the Visitor Service Enhancements at the Historic Arkansas Riverwalk of
Pueblo, a copy of which is attached hereto, is hereby approved.
SECTION 2.
The approval of the Designs for the Visitor Service Enhancements at the Historic Arkansas
Riverwalk of Pueblo, by the City Council does not constitute nor shall such approval be construed
to constitute a commitment by the City Council to make City funds available therefore.

ENHANCEMENTS AT THE HISTORIC ARKANSAS RIVERWALK OF PUEBLO
ISSUE
Should the City Council approve the designs for the Visitor Services Enhancements at
the Historic Arkansas Riverwalk of Pueblo?
Approve the Resolution.
BACKGROUND
The Intergovernmental Agreement establishing the HARP Authority requires the City to
approve all designs pertaining to the HARP project area. The designs attached to this
Resolution outline the general appearance of the proposed improvements. The Visitor
Services Enhancements are made up of the following four (4) projects:
1. Remodeling the existing boathouse.
2. Provide Way Finding Signage
3. Construct a pedestrian bridge that recognizes Veterans in our area.
4. Install a shade structure.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Under a separate Resolution, the City is sponsoring a grant application to the State of
Colorado, Department of Local Affairs, Energy and Mineral Impact Assistance Program
to fund said enhancements.
