TITLE
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF $10,000 FROM THE
CONTINGENCIES ACCOUNT IN THE 2007 GENERAL FUND BUDGET TO THE
AIRPORT ENTERPRISE FUND TO FUND THE PUEBLO AIR SERVICE PROMOTIONAL
CAMPAIGN
ISSUE
In 2006, the Greater Pueblo Chamber of Commerce began a promotional campaign to highlight
the benefits of flying from the Pueblo Memorial Airport. Since the promotional campaign
began, the Airport and Great Lakes Aviation have experienced an increase in passenger traffic.
The Airport Advisory Committee has attributed this increase to the efforts of the 2006 campaign,
and due to this success, the Chamber and the Airport Advisory Committee are again requesting
financial support. They have requested $10,000 each from the City and the County for a total of
$20,000 to continue this promotional campaign in 2007. A total of $20,000 will be allocated
toward these efforts. In addition, Great Lakes Aviation is going to donate $2,500 to this
promotional project.
