HomeMy WebLinkAbout10890RESOLUTION NO. 10890 A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF PUEBLO AND OTHER GOVERNMENTAL ENTITIES AND THE YOUNG MEN'S CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION OF PUEBLO, COLORADO RELATING TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE YMCA COMMUNITY CAMPUS BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: SECTION 1 The Agreement dated as of December 11, 2006 between the City of Pueblo and other governmental entities and the Young Men's Christian Association of Pueblo, Colorado, a copy of which is attached hereto, having been approved as to form by the City Attorney, is hereby approved. SECTION 2 The President of the City Council is authorized to execute the Agreement in the name of the City and the City Clerk is directed to affix the seal of the City thereto and attest same. SECTION 3 This Resolution shall become effective upon final passage and approval. RECOMMENDATION None. BACKGROUND The YMCA has proposed an agreement for development of the 150 acre YMCA Community Campus ( "Campus ") which provides that (a) the YMCA would convey the 150 acres to the City and the City would lease the 150 acres to the YMCA, (b) the City would make the Regional Park portion of the Campus a high priority over competing grant applications for recreational projects, (c) the YMCA would operate and maintain the Campus at its sole cost and expense, and (d) nothing contained in the Agreement shall constitute a financial obligation of the City.
